IQTaxi and SATA Athens, the Syndicate of Taxi drivers in Attica Greece, agreed to provide the largest network of Taxi services throughout Greece, with a start of July 15th 2015 in Athens Greece. IQTaxi and SATA signed an exclusive service provider contract in order for the IQTaxi management team to provide dispatching Taxi services to the Greek market.
SATA president Mr. Eythimios Lymperopoulos is leading a unions effort to compete with the rising threat of web hailing providers of Taxi rides, like UBER, that are charging drivers a percentage of their actual trip in order to supply them with rides. SATA and IQTaxi will charge only a small monthly fee and there will be no commission fee charge to the drivers or the riders. The initial fleet of Taxis is estimated to surpass 5,000 cars.
